Inovance E043.2 fault code meaning
Inovance / E043.2

Synchronous motor FVC runaway fault
AC drive
Meaning: For a synchronous motor or reluctance motor under FVC control, when D6/7/8/9-30 is enabled, the AC drive reports a synchronous motor FVC runaway fault if the actual motor speed is in the same direction as the frequency setting and exceeds the frequency setting by more than the D6/7/8/9-31 threshold for longer than D6/7/8/9-32 (excessive speed deviation detection time); alternatively, the AC drive reports a synchronous motor FVC runaway fault if the actual motor speed is in the opposite direction to the frequency setting and exceeds the D6/7/8/9-31 threshold for longer than D6/7/8/9-32 (excessive speed deviation detection time).
Possible causes
- Encoder mounting angle identification was not performed, or 13 synchronous motor auto-tuning with rotation under load was used. This procedure does not identify the encoder mounting angle, resulting in an incorrect start angle and runaway.
- 11 synchronous motor auto-tuning under load (without back EMF identification) was performed without confirming the F1-30 encoder AB phase sequence. If the F1-30 encoder AB phase sequence is opposite to the actual direction, the zero point position angle will be identified incorrectly, causing runaway at start.
- A loose encoder, a communication fault, or similar issues cause encoder pulse loss or incorrect position transmission.
