Overvoltage during deceleration
AC motor drive
Meaning: During deceleration, the AC motor drive detects overvoltage on the internal high-voltage DC side. When ovd occurs, the AC motor drive output is immediately shut off, the motor coasts, and the panel displays error ovd.
Possible causes
- The deceleration time is too short, causing the regenerative energy of the load
- Too large
- 2. Connect a braking resistor, braking resistor unit, or common DC bus to the AC motor drive.
- Check whether the stall prevention action condition setting is less than
- No-load current
- The stall prevention action condition setting should be greater than the no-load current.
- Supply voltage too high
- A power factor correction capacitor is being switched within the same power supply system.

Overvoltage during deceleration
AC motor drive
Meaning: During deceleration, the AC motor drive detects overvoltage on the internal high-voltage DC side. When ovd occurs, the AC motor drive output is immediately disabled, the motor coasts, and the panel displays the ovd error.
Possible causes
- The deceleration time is too short, causing the regenerative energy of the load
- Too large
- 2. Connect a braking resistor, braking resistor unit, or common DC bus to the AC motor drive.
- Check whether the stall prevention action level setting is less than
- No-load current
- The stall prevention action level setting should be greater than the no-load current.
- Supply voltage too high
- A power factor correction capacitor is being switched within the same power supply system.
