SPS model overvoltage
AC motor drive
Meaning: The SPS model detected overvoltage on the internal DC high-voltage side.
Possible causes
- Rapid load change
- Check whether the stall prevention action condition setting is less than
- No-load current
- The setting for the stall prevention action condition must be greater than the no-load current.
- Motor inertia voltage rise
- Supply voltage too high
- A power factor correction capacitor is being switched within the same power supply system.
- Action
- If a power factor correction capacitor or an active power supply device operates within the same power supply system, the input voltage may briefly rise abnormally and sharply. Install a AC reactor.
- Motor ground fault
- The ground fault current flows through the power supply and charges the main circuit capacitor inside the AC motor drive. Check the motor power cable, wiring box, and connection terminals inside the wiring box for ground faults.
