Delta AL086 fault code meaning
Delta / AL086
Series: ASDA-A2
Input voltage too high
servo drive
Meaning:
Possible causes
- When the drive determines that there is no regenerative energy
- other energy is still
- energy (such as interference) feeds back into the drive
- or the power supply input voltage is higher
- than the rated permissible voltage.
- Use a voltmeter to measure whether the power supply input voltage
- is within the rated permissible voltage range (refer to
- the drive specifications). If it exceeds the range, remove the interference
- Remove the interference source.
- Drive hardware fault
- When a voltmeter measures the main circuit input voltage
- within the rated permissible voltage range, check whether
- this error still occurs

Regenerative resistor overload
servo drive
Meaning: The energy discharged from the drive capacitor into the regenerative resistor is too high, causing resistor overload.
Possible causes
- Condition: The energy discharged from the drive capacitor into the regenerative resistor is too high, causing resistor overload. Cause:
- Incorrect regenerative resistor selection or no external regenerative resistor connected.
- Incorrect parameter settings (P1.052, P1.053).
- Other energy (such as interference) is fed back into the drive, or the power supply input voltage exceeds the rated allowable voltage.
- Drive hardware fault.

External regenerative resistor overload
servo drive
Meaning: The drive module capacitor discharges to 45 kW or below. Excessive energy in the regenerative resistor connected to the power supply module causes resistor overload.
Possible causes
- Condition: The drive module capacitor discharges to 45 kW or below. Excessive energy in the regenerative resistor connected to the power supply module causes resistor overload. Cause:
- Incorrect regenerative resistor selection or no external regenerative resistor connected.
- Incorrect parameter settings (P1.052, P1.053).
- Other energy (such as interference) is fed back into the power supply module, or the power supply input voltage exceeds the rated allowable voltage.
- Power supply module hardware fault.

Power supply module (PM) regenerative resistor overload
servo drive
Meaning: The drive module capacitor continuously discharges energy into the regenerative resistor, causing VP0.017 [Power supply module (PM) regenerative resistor overload (AL086) protection count] > 100%.
Possible causes
- Condition: The drive module capacitor continuously discharges energy into the regenerative resistor, causing VP0.017 [Power supply module (PM) regenerative resistor overload (AL086) protection count] > 100%. Cause:
- Incorrect regenerative resistor selection or no external regenerative resistor connected.
- Incorrect parameter settings (VP0.052, VP0.053).
- Other energy (such as interference) is fed back into the capacitor, or the power supply input voltage exceeds the permitted rated voltage.
