Delta AL052 fault code meaning
Delta / AL052
Series: ASDA-A2R
Initial field detection error
servo drive
Meaning:
Possible causes
- When the motor is not connected to a Hall assembly
- the field is automatically detected after power-on
- when the field cannot be found
- this alarm is displayed.

Initial field detection error
servo drive
Meaning: 1. During detection, the motor travel exceeds 1/3 motor pole pairs or pole pitches, preventing initial field detection from completing. 2. After the servo Servo On, the servo automatically performs field detection. This alarm is displayed if detection is not complete within 4 seconds. 3. The machine cannot run because the motor brake is still applied, the motor does not run smoothly, or the mechanism's set screw has not been removed.
Possible causes
- Conditions:
- During detection, the motor travel distance exceeds 1/3 motor pole pairs or pole pitches, preventing initial field detection from completing.
- After the servo Servo On, it automatically performs field detection. This alarm is displayed if detection is not complete within 4 seconds.
- The machine cannot run because the motor brake is still applied, the motor does not run smoothly, or the mechanism's set screw has not been removed. Cause: When the user chooses not to install Hall components (Hall components are set to unused, PM.003.Y =
- The servo automatically detects the field after Servo On. This alarm is displayed if the servo cannot detect the field.

Initial field detection error
servo drive
Meaning: 1. During detection, the motor travel exceeds the motor pole pair or pole pitch specified by 1/3, preventing initial field detection from completing. 2. After servo Servo On, the servo automatically performs field detection. This alarm is displayed if detection is not complete within 4 seconds. 3. The motor brake has not been released, the motor does not run smoothly, or the mechanism's set screws have not been removed, preventing the machine from running.
- The motor brake has not been released, the motor does not run smoothly, or the mechanism's set screws have not been removed, preventing the machine from running. Cause: When the user chooses not to install Hall components (Hall components are disabled by setting PM.003.Y = 0), field detection is performed automatically after servo Servo On. This alarm is displayed if the servo cannot detect the field.

Initial field detection error (without Hall components)
servo drive
Meaning: 1.No Hall components are installed (PM.003.Y = 0), and a non-absolute encoder is used. 2.No Hall components are installed (PM.003.Y = 0), and an absolute encoder is used, but this detection function is specifically enabled (PM.009 [Bit 1] = 1). 3.Set PM.044 [Bit 1] = 1 to enable the PM.010 auto detection function. With the above functions set, the servo automatically performs initial motor field detection at the first Servo On after power-on. During detection: 1.The motor travel distance is greater
Possible causes
- Conditions:
- No Hall components are installed (PM.003.Y = 0), and a non-absolute encoder is used.
- No Hall components are installed (PM.003.Y = 0), and an absolute encoder is used, but this detection function is specifically enabled (PM.009 [Bit 1] = 1).
- The motor travel distance exceeds 1/3 motor pole pairs or pole pitches.
- The conditions set by PM.012.XY cannot be met.
- Initial field detection cannot be completed after 5 seconds or more. Cause:
- Encoder error with no signal.
- The motor brake has not been released, operation is uneven, or the mechanism's set screws have not been removed, preventing the machine from running.
- Friction between the motor and the mechanism is too large.
- The motor load is too light or too heavy, causing uneven operation.
- Check whether interference is causing the pulse encoder to miss pulses.
