Delta AL030 fault code meaning
Delta / AL030
Series: ASDA-A2, ASDA-A2R, ASDA-B2-F, ASDA-B2, ASDA-M
Motor collision error
servo drive
Meaning:
Possible causes
- Motor collision error
- 58 Check whether the time setting is too short.
- 1. If enabled unintentionally, set P1-57 to 0.
- 2. Set according to the actual torque. If the setting
- is too low, unintended action will occur; if the setting is too high,
- the protection function will be lost.

Motor collision error
servo drive
Meaning: When the motor strikes rigid equipment, the torque setting in P1.057 is reached and the time set in P1.058 elapses.
Possible causes
- Condition: When the motor strikes rigid equipment, the torque setting in P1.057 is reached and the time set in P1.058 elapses. Cause:
Source: ASDA-A3 User Manual (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-A3_UM_SC_20230515) P1156; ASDA-E3 (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-E3_UM_SC_20260313) P618
Series: ASDA-B3, ASDA-E3C-E, ASDA-E3C-L
Motor collision error
servo drive
Meaning: When the motor strikes a rigid object, the torque reaches the setting in P1.057 for the time set in P1.058.
Possible causes
- Condition: When the motor strikes a rigid object, the torque reaches the setting in P1.057 for the time set in P1.058. Cause:
Source: ASDA-B3 User Manual (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-B3_UM_SC_20250108) P892; ASDA-E3C-E Application Technical Manual (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-E3C-E_UM_SC_20260612) P542; ASDA-E3C-L Application Technical Manual (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-E3C-L_UM_SC_20260612) P414
Series: ASDA-H3
Motor collision error
servo drive
Meaning: The motor strikes a rigid machine component, reaching the torque setting in P1.057 for the time set in P1.058.
Possible causes
- Condition: The motor strikes rigid equipment, reaching the torque setting of P1.057 and the time setting of P1.058. Cause:
Source: ASDA-H3 User Manual (DELTA_IA-ASD_ASDA-H3_UM_SC_20260428) P776
Series: ASDA-W3
Motor collision error
servo drive
Meaning: When 1. P2.112 [Bit 8] = 0 (motor collision protection function 1 is used), the motor strikes rigid equipment and reaches the torque setting in P1.057 for the time set in P1.058. When 2. P2.112 [Bit 8] = 1 (motor collision protection function 2 is used), motor torque > P1.105 or motor torque < P1.106 during operation for the time set in P1.058.
Possible causes
- Conditions:
- When P2.112 [Bit 8] = 0 (motor collision protection function 1 is used), the motor strikes rigid equipment and reaches the torque setting in P1.057 for the time set in P1.058.
- When P2.112 [Bit 8] = 1 (motor collision protection function 2 is used), motor torque > P1.105 or motor torque < P1.106 during operation for the time set in P1.058. Cause:
- The motor collision protection function (P1.057, P2.112 [Bit 8]) is enabled.
- The P1.057 setting is too low.
- The time setting for P1.058 is too short.
- Incorrect P1.060 setting.
- Incorrect P1.105 and P1.106 settings.
