Hitachi Over V. fault code meaning

Hitachi / Over V.

Series: HFC-VWS

DC bus voltage (overvoltage)

AC drive

Meaning: DC bus voltage raised beyond the limit by regenerative energy from the motor; protection cuts off the output. Causes: high incoming line voltage; power-factor capacitor switched on/off; rapid deceleration. | Lower the line voltage; avoid connecting the capacitor or insert an AC reactor on the input side; prolong the deceleration time; set a time that conforms to inertia of the load; use a proper regenerative braking device.
